Riverside Village – Ylläs, Kolari
Riverside Village sits on the banks of the Äkäsjoki river in a peaceful forest, about 10–15 minutes by car from Äkäslompolo and Ylläs ski resort. It is a great base for a ski holiday, a fishing trip or an autumn colour hike.
The mini cabins have a private sauna, stove, kitchen and large windows to nature. Ski tracks pass 300 metres away, a lean-to with a fire pit is 150 metres away and the river flows right next to the cabins.
Getting here
- • By air: Kittilä (approx. 1 h) or Rovaniemi (approx. 2.5 h).
- • By train: night train to Kolari, then a 20-minute drive.
- • By car: a rental car is recommended – there is no restaurant in the village and the nearest shop is about 15 minutes away.

Check-in from 17:00, check-out by 10:00. You will receive the door code and arrival instructions on your phone before arrival.

How does check-in work?
Check-in is self-service. Before arrival you receive a personal door code and detailed arrival instructions on your phone – no queueing at a reception. Check-in from 5 pm and check-out by 10 am. Early check-in or late check-out can be booked as an extra.
